This Privacy Policy explains how the Current app ("Current," "the app," "we," or "us") handles your information. By using Current, you agree to the practices described here.
With your permission, Current reads the following data from Apple Health (HealthKit) to calculate your daily recovery score:
Current requests read-only access. It never writes to, modifies, or deletes any data in Apple Health. You can review and revoke Current's access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Current.
All health data is processed entirely on your device to compute your score, sub-scores, insights, trends, and recommendations. This processing happens locally in real time. Current does not transmit your health data anywhere.
Current stores its data — your calculated scores, streak history, HRV baseline, and app settings — locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This information is not backed up to any server operated by us. If you have iCloud backups enabled for your device, your app data may be included in your own private, encrypted Apple iCloud backup, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours.
If you enable reminders or trend alerts, Current schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated and delivered locally by iOS — no notification content is sent through an external server.
Because all data is stored locally, you are in full control. Deleting the Current app from your device permanently removes all data the app has stored. Revoking Health permissions immediately stops the app from reading new health data.
Current is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. As the app collects no personal information of any kind, no such data is gathered from any user.
Current is intended for general wellness and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Scores, insights, and recommendations are estimates derived from your health data and should not be relied upon for medical decisions. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional with questions about your health.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
